R.A. Smith National also coordinated submittals to city and state review agencies which included U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources permitting associated with the adjacent wetland and waterway.
R.A. Smith National completed a preliminary engineering study for the Whitnall School District that addressed stormwater management at the Whitnall High School site and the north end of the Whitnall Middle School site. The purpose of the study was to identify deficiencies in the existing stormwater drainage system and provide potential solutions that are compatible with future site improvements. The stormwater problems and concerns identified by the District included ponding water, poor drainage, and runoff from adjacent properties onto District property. In addition to conceptual solutions for the problem areas, guidance was provided regarding local, state and federal permits required for possible construction.
