Project Overview
Fox Road in the Town of Ixonia was a narrow farm road with drainage problems, safety concerns, and poorly rated pavement quality. raSmith worked with the Town to acquire right-of-way in order to design deeper and wider ditching within the corridor to improve the drainage; coordinated with the Wisconsin DNR to extend a 60-inch culvert pipe in an active waterway; and engineered the roadway into the Town’s annual paving program. The result was a better-drained, safer, and strengthened roadway that services hundreds of acres of agricultural area land within the Town.
