Project Overview
raSmith provided construction inspection services for the resurfacing of County F (9.4 miles from County CI to County B) and County E (9 miles from County F to Concord Avenue) in Jefferson County. This project included the milling and overlay of two inches of hot mixed asphalt (HMA), new gravel shoulders, and new pavement markings. Additionally, raSmith partnered with Behnke Materials Engineering for HMA nuclear density testing.
Traffic control monitoring played an important role throughout this WisDOT Local Program project. Congestion was minimized by safely staging the operations/equipment and consistently communicating with the stakeholders to address any additional needs that surfaced. raSmith monitored the work on this roadway resurfacing to stay on schedule through the firm’s 35-day contract for a successful completion.
