Project Overview
Plaza by the Sea is a 48,697-square-foot shopping center with stores, restaurants, and other retail establishments to benefit the community. raSmith provided site design services for a redevelopment project at the plaza, which involved the addition of a two-tenant pad building with a drive-through for Better Buzz Coffee Roasters and Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream. The comprehensive work included: civil engineering, grading, paving, drainage, storm drain, hydrology, fire water service, sanitary sewer, erosion control, entitlement processing, construction documents, and a water quality management plan to meet the City of San Clemente’s stormwater requirements.
