"When I first started at raSmith I remember telling my boss that I wanted to get into traffic safety and he and I both really didn't know how that was going to happen. And then, a couple years ago we were kind of laughing that all of a sudden we were into traffic safety! So, you know, that part of my role really grew at raSmith, from being an entry level engineer and doing more day-to-day tasks to taking on bigger projects and bigger challenges, to now mentoring and training younger engineers and doing the types of projects that I really wanted to do which were safety projects."

 

Engineering is all about solving problems, and even though some problems are similar on a project-to-project basis, they're all unique. I'm able to talk with my co-workers who are, I would consider most of them friends more than just co-workers. We help each other when I don't know an answer I can ask them, and we're able to work something out. And it's good way to spend my day."
