raSmith — a multi-disciplined civil and structural engineering and surveying firm, Brookfield, Wis. — has promoted Paul Schafer to assistant director of construction services.
Schafer has been employed with raSmith’s construction services group as a municipal construction group manager since 2011. A few of his current and recent projects include Drexel Town Square for the City of Oak Creek; a major revitalization/streetscaping project for the City of Wauwatosa; Woods Road bridge replacement and annual roadway improvement projects for the City of Muskego; and the award-winning RecPlex Park & Ride project for the Village of Pleasant Prairie.
Schafer has more than 17 years of experience in construction management for street programs, utilities, subdivisions, and water and wastewater facilities. He is in charge of coordinating and overseeing both municipal and private construction projects. He also manages and schedules more than 30 staff members in various construction services roles.
