Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with transportation planning and engineering studies on a variety of exciting projects throughout Wisconsin
- Prepare environmental and design documentation including report writing
- Work on automated highway designs including plan preparation, quantity takeoffs, and construction cost estimating
- Coordinate with utility companies and other agencies
- Participate in public involvement activities
- Other duties, as assigned

Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from a U.S.-accredited college or university.
- A professional engineering license from the State of Wisconsin is preferred.
- 4-8 years of transportation design experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
- Experience with the WisDOT facilities development process is desirable
- Applicable U.S.-based work experience.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assessing project requirements and developing a sound approach to meet the needs of the project and the client. Stamp and sign surveys as Surveyor in Responsible Charge for property surveys.
- Prepare and review proposals, budgets, and invoices. Act as a mentor to other survey team members and provide training, as needed. WisDOT survey and right-of-way plat experience is preferred.
- This person will also be involved with maintaining client relationships and supervising compliance with specifications.

Skills and Requirements:
- A Wisconsin P.L.S is required.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a project manager.
- Five (5) years of field survey experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office software is also needed.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in survey or civil engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university is preferred.
- Applicable U.S.-based work experience.

Initial duties will include:
- Working in the field as part of a two-person team or solo
- You will become familiar with our equipment, data collection procedures and work methods, in addition to the various types of our survey projects.
- Provide thorough, professional analysis of survey projects and construction layout including compliance with project scope, requirements and goals.
- Perform survey plan design and drafting using AutoCAD Civil3D to include adherence to raSmith standards and compliance with local laws, codes and ordinances as needed
- Perform field survey duties including data collection, boundary evidence search and locate, and construction staking.

Roadway/Utility Construction Inspector – Entry Level - Requirements:
- Monitoring the activities of contractors on construction sites and the construction process to verify that work completed is in accordance with contract documents.
- Assisting the construction manager with the coordination of all construction activities and providing daily inspection of construction activities.
- Maintaining and submitting inspection reports on a daily basis.

- Associate degree in civil engineering technology, natural resources, or related field from a U.S.-accredited school.
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Grade I Certification or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
- 0-1 years of construction inspection in municipal or DOT roadway and underground utility projects.
- Prior experience monitoring the activities of contractors on construction sites and the construction process to verify that work completed is in accordance with contract documents is helpful.
- It is preferred that candidates have some computer experience and some survey experience.

Roadway/Utility Inspector Requirements:
- Successful candidates will have previous foreman, tradesman, contractor, or inspection experience on either DOT or municipal roadway or underground utility projects.
- 3 or more years of construction inspection in municipal or DOT roadway and underground utility projects.
- Prior experience monitoring the activities of contractors on construction sites and the construction process to verify that work completed is in accordance with contract documents.
- It is preferred that candidates have some computer experience and some survey experience.
- Applicable U.S.-based work experience.

- Prepare site civil engineering designs, specifications, plans, and estimates for projects including: site grading, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, water and sewer infrastructure, roads, and park amenities using AutoCAD Civil 3D and a variety of other engineering software
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations
- Conduct research grant writing and permitting for projects
- Construction observation fieldwork

Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from a U.S.-accredited college or university and coursework in civil engineering
- Zero to 4 years of experience working in similar civil engineering areas
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred
