Project Overview
raSmith performed intersection evaluations for the County CE corridor, an important arterial roadway in Outagamie County, Wisconsin. The study included safety and operational analysis of eight intersections to preliminarily investigate potential improvements to address traffic capacity and crash issues that are apparent along the corridor. Each intersection was evaluated for current, short-term and long-term operations, and recommendations were provided for each study intersection.
The study included safety and operational analysis of three existing roundabouts along the corridor. Additionally, double- and triple-lane conceptual roundabout designs were completed for four intersections, including development of estimated construction and real estate costs.
raSmith led the public involvement for the project, seeking input from local officials and the public on potential solutions for the intersections on the County CE corridor. Recommendations from the study will be prioritized and moved to final design in upcoming years.
