Project Overview
Tragedy struck on Dec. 6, 2006, when an explosion ripped through a Milwaukee industrial icon Falk Corporation. A lasting tribute was sought as a memorial for three fallen workers, their families and other injured workers.
raSmith designed the Falk Memorial Plaza that includes a memorial wall with individual plaques, three large memorial oak trees, a central raised planter, flagpoles and seat walls. The area is used for gatherings, events and is a welcoming green space within an industrial setting that is enjoyed by employees throughout the day.
