Project Overview
Summit Credit Union’s new headquarters in Cottage Grove has allowed the company to consolidate its administrative staff from five different buildings. The 152,000-square-foot building consists of six stories and one level below grade for parking.
The building is a typical office floor, featuring a cast-in-place post-tensioned concrete framing system. Amenities for employees include meditation and exercise rooms, an auditorium, a cafeteria, a sand volleyball court and a walking/biking path. A branch bank, for both member and employee use, is located at ground level.
This Summit Credit Union building has achieved LEED® Silver certification, signifying the financial institution’s dedication to sustainability by reducing water and energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. Electric car chargers, environmentally friendly flooring and lighting, and better air circulation aids in the sustainability initiative. Additionally, a 17,500-gallon cistern captures and reuses rainwater.
This project has earned an ASID Silver Design Excellence Award, Top Projects Award from the Daily Reporter and a Coolest Office Design in Business Magazine.
