Rotational Engineer Program
raSmith offers a variety of opportunities designed for employees’ professional growth that set us apart from other firms such as our rotational engineer program. Since 2013, this program has helped many recent college graduates determine which area of civil engineering to specialize in and develop the skills they need to launch successful careers.
How does our rotational engineer program work? Recent college graduates get the opportunity to work in (or “rotate” through) six divisions at raSmith over a one-year period and experience the different areas of civil engineering.
Throughout this unique program, rotational engineers obtain the following advantages:
- Receive customized mentoring and guidance
- Gain practical experience including field testing and inspection
- Learn about the challenging projects in each division
- Develop their skills in technical software programs such as Civil 3D
- Enjoy the benefits of being a full-time raSmith employee
Afterward, rotational engineers will be well-equipped to join the raSmith division that most closely matches their skills and interests for the best fit. Read what a couple of our employees who completed the rotational engineer program have to say:
“The rotational engineer program is a great way to be exposed to a lot of different facets of civil engineering. Also, by meeting lots of professionals in their field, I knew who to turn to if I ever had a question about something.”
Andrew Stasiukevicius, P.E.
Project Engineer, Site Design
“The rotational program allowed me to get familiar with the rhythm and structure of work in each department. It gave me the time to figure out which worked best for me.”
Amanda Locascio
Civil Engineer, Municipal Engineering
